Hello Everybody,

SAM RAYBURN:

Well the water temps were 53 at daylight today and warmed to 60’s by the end of the day.

The Bass are really moving up now with over 20 good bass a day being caught up to about 8 lbs. Bass are hitting senko type baits in black and blue, watermelons, green pumpkins, and junebugs rigged weightless. Also flipping around shallow brush with creature baits in watermelon red has been catching quality Bass. Now is the time to book your trip and get in on the next 8 weeks of the spawning season. Check Terry’s- Owner of Jackson Hill Marina web-page out on Rayburn at terry@jacksonhill.us for Cabins and etc.

Lake Palestine:

Water Temps mid 50’s and up. the Bigger females are still good up to 6 lbs. hitting the Nichols spinnerbait in White/Chartruse Combos reeled slowly along grass edges. The Texas rigged Phatom stinko(A senko type bait), in Watermelon Red, worked around the open timber in the spawning grounds has been a killer on Bass lately. Lake Palestine is on the verge of doing what Rayburn is doing now. Check out The Lake Palestine Resort web-page for Cabins abd Resturant and tackle at lakepalestineresort.com

LAKE FAIRFIELD:

Here is an e-mail I got this week for my report on Lake Fairfield

Don

Just wanted to say thanks for the fishing tip. I used the Bandit Mistake lure with my son Seth two weekends ago on Fairfield. We caught a 27in Red! Wow what a fight. I went fishing with you. I am the guy knealling down holding the bass in the back of your boat.(picture on your web site) It was 5 pounders all day long and a one eyed 7lb and the end of the day. Read all your reports and still order from Mr Nichols. Will be fishing with Seth this weekend. Hope to see you one day on the water. Normally my center console sticks out, but not on Fairfield. I think I’m the only center console bass fisherman in Dallas area. See ya on the water.

Jesus loves you and the devil is a liar.

A Carolina Rig using Nichols Creature baits or baby brush hogs in Watermelons and the Bandit crankbait in Mistake color are dynomite on Bass as well as the redfish. Redfish have been slow but some good ones came in this week.
